Scott Wesley
Open Eyes

Produced by: Joe Dilillo, Lee Smith, and Scott Wesley
Executive Producer: Lee Smith
Recording Engineer: Joe Dilillo

Hi everyone, my name is Scott Wesley. I am from the Northwest suburbs of Chicago, and have been playing guitar and writing music for just around 5 years. Music and singing have been my passion ever since I can remember. I started out on piano at the age of five, and from then on I’ve gone through various instruments including drums, bass, and keyboard.

Growing up, I was surrounded by the Beatles day and night, thanks to my Dad. I would have to say that they are my biggest influence, and that’s probably where I get my “pop” sound from. Other than that, artists that influence me today would be Jack Johnson, Ben Harper, Jason Mraz, and Keller Williams, all solo artists as you can tell. This unique blend of musical influences helped form my own sound that I bring to your ears.

George Frideric Handel: Messiah
In August 22, 1741, at a low point in his life and career, and suffering from partial paralysis due to a stroke, George Frideric Handel began work on Messiah. In an incredible 24 days, the great dramatic composer completed perhaps the most powerful, spiritually moving, and popular oratorio of all time. In the face of adversity, Handel rose to an unparalleled level of inspired achievement, saying upon the completion of the Hallelujah Chorus, “I did think I saw all Heaven before me, and the great God himself.”
